Universidad de La Sabana

Founded in 1979, La Sabana is a private Colombian, non-profit, higher education institution, awarded with the National High-Quality Accreditation by Colombia’s Ministry of Education, being the youngest university in Colombia with an institutional reaccreditation awarded for 8 years. La Sabana is a comprehensive, middle-sized university with a student population reaching 12,000 students. Its 110-hectares campus is in Chía, on the north of Bogotá, the country’s capital. In the 2018 QS University Ranking of the Top 50 under 50 La Sabana was the only Colombian university (founded less than 50 years ago) to be ranked and was placed 10th among young universities in Latin America. It is the youngest University awarded with an 8-year high-quality national accreditation in the country. In addition, a number of La Sabana’s Business and Communication programs are internationally accredited by organizations such as AMBA, EFMD and CLAEP. La Sabana currently offers 24 undergraduate programs, 18 medical specialities, 34 master programs and five doctoral degrees (Bioscience, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Education, Communication and Engineering). The Sabana Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center facilitates entrepreneurs and micro-entrepreneurs’ incubation, through experiences in order to accelerate the entrepreneurial projects success. The SEIS is a unit where students, graduates, professors, administrative staff and entrepreneurship and innovation actors of the Influence Zone of Universidad de La Sabana find an opportunity to ideate, develop and enhance their entrepreneurship and innovation proposal, through actions that embrace human development (the person), the idea (entrepreneurship), and the value proposition (innovation).
