Sociolab was born in Florence in 2006 thanks to three founding members. The center has always operated in research and consultancy in the political-social sphere, in the sectors of participation, collaborative planning, conflict mediation and facilitation, social research, socio-economic analysis, training and communication. 

Sociolab is active both nationally and internationally. It implements projects on a regional and local scale, i.e.: community cooperatives; urban security; housing and work inclusion of citizens from third countries; fight against poverty; involvement of citizens in the socio-health system. On an international scale it participates in numerous projects and partnerships activated within European and international programs such as INTERREG MED, INTERREG Francia Marittimo, LIFE, AMIF – Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund, H2020.

The social enterprise also provides methodological support and training for Italian, international and multinational companies and to the third sector entities on issues such as the strengthening of life skills, service design, social and environmental sustainability, inclusion and social cohesion.
