AGRIVERDE

Agriverde was born after the closure of mental hospitals, at the request of the Social and Psychiatric Services of the former USL 22 of Bologna and later, in June 1986, was established as an agricultural cooperative. Agriverde’s purpose is the integration of people into society within the district to which they belong. The staff is trained not only in the agricultural field but also in assistance. Agriverde collaborates closely with the AUSL services, but remains an independent entity and has developed its own entrepreneurial policy. 

Over the years, the cooperative has been structured into two groups, i.e., type B social cooperative: to carry out various activities aimed at enabling disadvantaged people (who amount to at least 30% cooperative’s workforce) to enter the world of work; Type A cooperative: to enroll people through an inclusive/formative internship sustained by a Therapeutic Rehabilitation Project.
