Vive Bailando
Vive Bailando (VB) is a Colombian-based non-for-profit organization that uses dance as a catalyst for human and social development. In the past 7 years, VB has transformed the lives of more than 7,000 children & adolescents through social interventions nationwide. Vive Bailando structures projects for organizations such as the United Nations, Coca-Cola FEMSA, and the US and Swedish Embassies in Colombia, among others.
This social line of action is also funded through the VIVE BAILANDO ACADEMY. Our Academy offers paid dance classes to the broader global community and corporations for team-building purposes. With this funding, our Foundation can run 9 vital social programs across Colombia’s most disadvantaged regions. Yes, DANCE with a SOCIAL IMPACT.
Vive Bailando’s social projects are forward-thinking and with our dance pupils, we follow a unique teaching method; the two-hour-long classes have a pedagogical focus on leadership, self-esteem, teamwork, and self-care, among other character-building exercises. Many of our pupils, such as Anderson & Viviana, have lost family members, suffered abuse, or been severely bullied. Therefore, through the power of dance and in a psychologically informed environment, we enhance children’s development and teach the next generation crucial principles and values, improve self-esteem and prevent early pregnancy and drug consumption.
