La Movida Verde is a free association organization that focuses on the development of programs and projects that harmoniously reconnect humans with nature and its elements, through education and awareness about the importance of sustainable management of natural resources for foster resilient communities, with a scope of action at the local, national and international levels. Our project is based on a system for managing organic waste from homes, companies and grocery stores to transform it into compost and prevent it from ending up in the trash. polluting the environment. The compost obtained through this management is returned to families and companies as a group of vegetable plants to promote urban agriculture. This waste comes from 80 families, 5 agro- industrial companies and 3 restaurants that deliver their organic waste to us and help us with contributions to manage this waste. The project began in April 2021, with 10 families who joined the idea of an organic waste management system since the municipality of our city did not offer an efficient waste management system.
