Avalon social cooperative was born in Parma in 1988 with the aim of managing places of social and cultural aggregation, through work placement paths aimed mainly at people with mental health problems. At the moment the cooperative acts in agreement with the Parma Local Health Authority (Mental Health Department), the Municipality of Parma and the Municipality of Collecchio. Currently the main activities of the Avalon social cooperative are the following: • Management of the bar service and cultural activities at the Psychiatric Community “La Fattoria di Vigheffio”; • Management of an apartment for psychiatric patients in agreement with the Mental Health Department of the Parma AUSL; • Management of Individual Rehabilitation Projects for psychiatric patients, also in agreement with the Mental Health Department of the AUSL of Parma; • Bar management “Famija Pramzana Cultural Association”.
