D.i.Re Donne in Rete contro la violenza
D.i.Re – Donne in Rete contro la violenza was established in 2008 but before this it had been informally active for 30 years on national territory as one of the non-institutional and women-run anti-violence centers. Today it is made up of a group of 82 organizations on Italian territory which manage over 100 anti-violence centers and more than 50 shelters, listening to about 21 thousand women every year. The National Association aims at building a national political action that knows how to promote the fundamental cultural change to contrast and overcome male violence against women. The actions and services of D.i.Re are: • actions for the visibility of the methodology and activity of the anti-violence centers present on the national territory; • Initiatives to spread awareness of the phenomenon of violence; • Research projects, with a view to reflecting on experiences and continuous and widespread training for the Centers and for the territory.
