Due to food shortages, the geopolitical and food crises have led to an increase in production costs in the agricultural sector, which has raised the price of anchovy meal, maize, soya and fertilisers, causing producers to spend around 60% of their total investment on food and/or fertilisers. Therefore, our startup aims to reform animal feed through an insect protein (Hermetia illucens) without environmental impact and low cost, from the biotransformation of organic waste with the capacity to replace conventional flours (anchovy, corn and soy) and increase profitability for producers in the livestock-agricultural sector.
