The “Centro de Familias Empresarias y Empresas Familiares (CFE)” has as its main objective to contribute to knowledge about family businesses and family enterprises through its research and publications. Since 2013, a group of professors from the Faculty of Economics and Business at UDEP formed the CFE. The CFE is a founding partner of the STEP Research Consortium, where family businesses are studied at a global and national level. Its strengths include direct contributions to society, bridging the gap between the university and the Peruvian business community, connections with leading business schools and global partners, a strong foundation of research databases, a network of academics, collaborative projects, the development of teaching cases and papers, creating opportunities for publication in academic journals, and fostering common research synergies. Knowledge exchange is facilitated through courses, seminars, workshops with contributions from visiting faculty.
