Eyes on Four Paws Foundation

Eyes on Four Paws Foundation is the first, and so far the only, school for guide dogs and assistant dogs in Bulgaria. In fact, it is the only one in the Balkans. It was established in 2000 by Albena Aleksieva, who is still chairwoman today. We are a non-governmental organization that is supported mainly by sponsorships and donations.
At the beginning of 2013, in “Eyes on Four Paws” we trained and trained 45 guide dogs of the Golden Retriever, Labrador and German Shepherd breeds.
Our mission can be formulated quite simply – To strengthen the independence, dignity and self-confidence of blind people by training guide dogs for their helpers
