Avocation was born from an initiative in which a married couple returns to their rural origins after spending more than 40 years in the city to connect and generate a project with an impact on their descendants and at the same time contribute to the improvement of practices in the countryside with knowledge acquired by their daughters after their studies. This in order to seek to make agriculture more sustainable in all aspects, as one of their daughters, my contribution is from my experience communicating and making visible this in which my parents can see a future in the field. In this experience we have been able to see different challenges that farmers who have dedicated their entire lives to this activity with very few rewards have had to go through: the low modernization of the countryside, low prices and few working conditions or benefits, however, after and during the covid-19 emergency we were also able to see the advantage of being in contact with nature and seeking to have an impact on the community, so that everyone can also associate and seek progress. The choice of Hass avocado was in search of promoting production for export since we know that it is quite desired abroad.
