The Collective Megaphone, is an initiative that was born in 2021 in the Las Vegas sector of the Nelson Mandela neighborhood, given the need to improve community communication and disseminate relevant, accurate and interesting news and information, taking into account the situation of the post-pandemic and economic and social reactivation. The Collective arose with the accompaniment of the Gabo Foundation and the Tenaris TuboCaribe Foundation, with the purpose of fostering citizen skills and promoting the construction of community identities, through learning skills related to the power to investigate, tell and share stories. The Collective Megaphone has dedicated itself to making visible and sharing content about activities and events that take place in the Nelson Mandela neighborhood and in surrounding communities, in a news or journalistic way, mainly on issues of education, art, culture, citizen participation, environment, recreation and sport.
