Inspiring Cases
EnergyFree
Solar energy systems have become an alternative energy source that brings development to the most vulnerable communities where conventional electricity service is inconsistent and non-existent, apart from generating debt with electricity service providers who constantly make cuts. of the fluid negatively impacting the community and productive gear of rural areas. Our project focuses on the installation of microaqueducts that work with the solar energy component, thus increasing the quality of life of the inhabitants in rural areas in the post-conflict era in Colombia. 80% of the rural areas and corregimientos belonging to the municipalities do not have extraction systems and drinking water supplies, which leads to rates as alarming as 17.6% of mortality in early childhood due to the consumption of contaminated water. It is important to note that our design of the solar energy system for aqueducts also eliminates the use of batteries as a storage system, which helps to mitigate the contaminating footprint of the use of batteries. Colombia today has 1,122 municipalities with 25 villages and corregimientos on average, which represents 28,050 rural areas of which 80%, equivalent to 22,440, require rural microaqueducts in the post-conflict stage. It is time for us all to be agents of change that we manage to preserve life and the ecosystem “Welcome everyone to be part of our project”
