The Sanctuary Colombia Foundation is the social enterprise of a family united by a transcendent purpose: Materialize rights, conquer dignity, and promote development for Afro-Colombian people. To achieve this goal, we have periodical campaigns to protect the human rights of children and youth in different parts of Colombia, such Choco, Bogota and San Jose del Guaviare. We also develop a permanent program called “We are the 10” in which we work with organizations, universities, and companies to improve the participation of Afro-Colombians in spaces where they have been historically underrepresented, giving them high quality labor and educational opportunities. The non-profit organization was created in 2016 and during the last 7 years have helped more than 100 beneficiaries to thrive.
