We are Macaya Artesanías, (tribute to the aboriginals who lived at Mountain “One”), public released since august 2022. We gathered the very best Crafter hands from “Montes de María” (the ancient One mountain), more specifically, from “the big hammoc land”, San Jacinto Bolívar, providing smooth artesanal bags, embroidered bags and stamps, hand knitted fabric and exclusive pendants, hammocks, board games, purses, accessories, among other products, all designed and crafted originally by wood loom as traditionally is teached. We take to the country the beauty of San Jacinto’s history, which have been handed down by generations until it became a tradition of San Jacinto. We provide employment to women in this municipality of Bolivar, who work with endeavor and love, supporting their families by being devoted to this ancient art. Women who maybe are head of family or vulnerable, with desire to keep learning and become better every day. Whitin this beautiful dream there are years of experience, which belong to women who have learned this wonderful job, earning incomes for their homes, and carrying this marvelous tradition.
Our mission: dignify this art, and the hard work. Keep training and empowering as women as possible. As a family we are part of the crafting lineage of the montemarian. We want to be example of dreaming and resilient women who want to give the best with steadiness and modesty. We are convinced that dreams are hard work, therefore we want to preserve this lineage from Macaya, where tradition, more than history, is eternity.
