PRODUCCIÓN Y COMERCIALIZACIÓN DE BOCACHICO

Fisciculture is an important activity to meet the food demand of a growing population and in its practice it is necessary to develop tegnologies responsible with the environment. The Bocachico polyculture is relevant due to the importance of this species at the national level, the bocachico for its detritivorous-ilo-phase eating habit, recently seen as an ecological fish. Of high consumption in the municipality of Valencia, the exploitation of this species is sought because it is native to the department, consumed in its different presentations, with its easy management, great economic performance and great reception in the local, regional and departmental market.

La piscicultura es una actividad importante para satisfacer la demanda alimenticia de una población en crecimiento y en su práctica es necesario desarrollar tegnologías responsables con el ambiente. El policultivo de bocachico es relevante por la importancia de esta especie a nivel nacional, el bocachico por su hábito alimenticio detritívoro-iliófago, recientemente visto como un pez ecológico. De alto consumo en el municipio de Valencia,se busca la explotación de esta especie porque es autóctona del departamento, consumida en sus diferentes presentaciones, con su fácil manejo, gran rendimiento económicoy gran acogida en el mercado local, regional y departamental.
