Alecrim Work began its business in 1995 with the aim to build a professional and quality company, giving particular attention to the disadvantaged and disabled, enhancing everyone’s skills. Activities and services offered: • The third-party laboratory where people with greater motor or cognitive difficulties find opportunities for expression (Jobs that are offered are i.e.: canning, ceramic samples (folders/panels/cradles), cutting and assembly (waterjet), shrink-wrapped blister and skinpack, packaging, enveloping / Kit, cellophane wrapping and mailing of magazines); • Environmental cleaning (mechanized sweeping and manual, differentiated collection and management of ecological islands); • Civil interior cleaning. Since almost 70% of staff have a disadvantage, the range of jobs has to be wide and with adaptable characteristics so that everyone can work. Alecrim Work is a social cooperative that deals with job placement so after a few years in which the basic rules of work are re-assimilated, people, accompanied by the dedicated staff of the social cooperative, manage to experiment with job opportunities in the profit market.
