Azalea Cooperativa Sociale was founded in 1992 by a group of 40 founding members with the management of home care of home care and transport services for people affected by HIV, mental health problems or other disabilities. 

Today Azalea Cooperativa Sociale has 470 working members who operate in the management of educational, social and socio-health services. It is a multi-purpose cooperative that manages three chains of Personal Services (Type A) and job placement for disadvantaged people (Type B): Primary Care Area, Education and Culture Area, Inclusion Area. 

The social cooperative carries out various social innovative projects ie.: “Punto Salute” which is a specialist medical clinic; Azalea Home is a social and design project; the one of the Gran Can Hotel Restaurant was born in 1994 and combines traditional tourism with two accommodation communities for people with mental health problems, housed within the structure. Azalea social cooperative also manages “Coopera 1945”, a historic tavern in Arbizzano, in Valpolicella that has been renovated and is accessible to all.
