C.A.P.S. was established in 1991 as the first consolidated non-religious enterprise in southern Italy. It makes use of a team made up of specialized professionals such as psychologists, criminologists, social workers, pedagogists, professional educators, doctors, legal consultants, street workers, art teachers, administrative staff, cultural mediators and volunteers. C.A.P.S intervenes where there are situations of hardship, serious marginalization and addictions. The purpose of this social cooperative is to prevent risky behavior, it offers hospitality to homeless people, works with individuals and their families in serious conditions of poverty, migrants, minors at risk, women victims of trafficking and for those addicted to alcohol and drugs. C.A.P.S also provides people in need with individual paths to overcome situations of chronic discomfort. Collaboration with public and private bodies, institutions and volunteers is fundamental for the Cooperative, not only for immediate intervention or an exclusive form of assistance, but also to promote the social inclusion of the subjects.
