Fondazione Renato Piatti is an organization of social utility established in 1999 in Varese by the will of some members of the local Anffas, Association of Families of People with Intellectual and/or Rational Disabilities. The mission of the foundation is to develop, implement and manage services for the disabled and their families, helping them to live the highest possible level of well-being without any sort of discrimination for their disabilities. Through the implementation of individual projects, the foundation’s aim is to give the best possible response to the needs of each guest, according to their age and including the severely disabled. All of which promotes autonomy and social inclusion.  

In the year 2000, Fondazione Renato Piatti began operating in the health, integrated social-health and social-welfare sectors in collaboration with the Lombardy Region and local institutions. Today the foundation manages 16 facilities which are divided into day and residential centers and rehabilitation centers for children and adolescents, taking care of a total of over 500 children, adolescents, adults and elderly.
