The social cooperative “IL MANDORLO” was born in Cassano allo Ionio on February 24, 2015, with its registered office in a historic confiscated property, now home to the therapeutic community for addiction problems. It is inspired by the general principles of the world cooperative movement: mutual aid, solidarity, democracy, balance of responsibilities, community spirit, bond with the territory, respect for institutions. Its purpose is the pursuit of the general interests of the community and the protection of the common good, the promotion of psycho-physical well-being, the social and work integration of citizens, especially the disadvantaged. The primary vocation of the cooperative is to give an opportunity for rehabilitation from addictions.
