Intrecci was born in 2003 and its mission is defined by a special law: “To pursue the general interest of the community in the human promotion and social integration of citizens”. In Intrecci there are more than 100 members, mostly employees of the cooperative and, to a lesser extent, volunteers. It is promoted by the Caritas Ambrosiana Foundation, by means of collaboration between different realities of the ecclesial world, the voluntary sector and the private social sector. The mission is: • To design and manage services for inclusion and emancipation for those people who are excluded from the life of our communities; • Promote social cohesion through training and educational support interventions, animation, hospitality, human promotion, accompaniment to autonomy, proximity; • Promote the desire and pleasure of the search for the common good among people, through the testimony of the members, the concrete activities implemented by the cooperative and the various forms of communication identified from time to time. • Participate, actively and critically, in the development of local policies, in a context of collaboration and co-planning with public and private bodies.
