Iubilantes was founded in 1996 by a group of friends with a common passion: the slow rediscovery of places and history on foot. Iubilantes mission is to: «Rediscover, practice and spread the culture of walking as a real and “active” experience of knowledge and protection of the historical, cultural and environmental heritage». For over twenty years, Iubilantes has: • promoted slow mobility and specifically walking, on paths of historical and cultural value; • rediscovered and valued paths, pilgrimage routes and their cultural – material and immaterial – and environmental heritage; • promoted slow mobility as a priority tool for understanding, protecting, enhancing and regenerating the cultural landscape and urban spaces; • promoted everyone’s right to enjoy cultural and environmental assets by working towards their full accessibility, in the name of the principle of “beauty for all”.
