The Cooperative “La Mano Amica”, associated with the Consortium of Cooperative So. & Co., was founded in 1989 in the Lucca area to provide home assistance in the field of Mental Health in the Municipality of Lucca. The purpose of the cooperative is to help young people, adults with mental illness, those in difficulty, the disabled and the elderly by giving them support and providing them with education, rehabilitation, welfare, growth paths and services. Members work for the person, the family and the surrounding community through: • the management of socio-medical, welfare and educational services such as assistance centers, rest homes, day centers, reception communities, canteens; • awareness-raising, animation and aggregation activities of the local community in which it operates in order to raise awareness and give attention and reception to people in need; • home health and social care services; • basic school, educational and vocational training services.
